Club Development Grant

Saints Sport provides the opportunity for AU affiliated clubs to apply for development grants to support them to achieve the aims and objectives within their club development plan.

Grants are available for 50% of the total project cost, up to a maximum of £500

Please note that applications for general running costs such as travel, coaching, competition fees etc will not be considered and clubs cannot reapply for a project they have previously received funding for.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible to apply, clubs must:

  1. Be a member of the AU
  2. Not be in debt to the AU, Saints Sport or any of our partner organisations

If you do not fulfil the above criteria your application will not be processed.

Application process

There are two application windows each year.

  1. Complete all sections of the online Club Development Grant application form by the application deadline.
  2. The funding panel will communicate their decision to approve or reject your application within 10 working days via Microsoft teams.

Please note that applications must be submitted in advance of the project commencing and no awards will be made in retrospect.

Payment of the grant

If your application is successful, the Saints Sport finance officer will make contact to arrange for the funds to be made available to the club.
